About 22 years of experience spanning industry and academia in the areas of learning, organization development and strategy and corporate social responsibility.

Currently he is leading the Satyam Foundation, a not for profit foundation initiated by Satyam Computer Services Limited. Under his leadership, Satyam received the Corporate Citizen Award from FICCI in 2006. He is responsible for creating one of the largest volunteering efforts in the corporate world in India.

Balaji was the Head of Strategy and Organization Development during the period. He led the effort to bring a common language and culture and energize the associates of Satyam. He launched a major organization-wide communication program christened as the SatyamWay.

He co-designed and launched the first ever Satyam Strategy Summit – an annual platform for senior leaders of Satyam to reflect, introspect and architect for the future.

He was the founder of the Satyam Learning Center (SLC) the corporate university of Satyam. The SLC is the one-stop-shop for all formal learning needs of the organization.

Balaji created alliances, relationships and association with various professional bodies and educational institutions of repute such as Project Management Institute, MIT, IIM-A, IIT-Kanpur, International Institute of Information Technology-Hyderabad, Institute of Management Development and Research, BITS-Pilani, REC-Warangal, Central Hyderabad University, Osmania University to name a few. He worked as associate professor in the Department of Business Management, Osmania University.
