HOW CAN YOU HELP SAMARTHYA
The areas of work and type of services that
Samarthya requires from the volunteer:
Samarthya's areas of work are conducting access audit (facility
checks in the built environment) from the point of mobility, using
facilities including emergency requirements of persons with
disabilities and senior citizens.
Volunteers can support during the access audits- helping in
compilation of audit reports including data base collection; help in
updating web site (if some body from that field) and in any other
computer desk top work.
We also undertake research projects on accessibility related
issues specially transportation. Volunteers can be of great help in
help compiling the studies findings etc.
Expectation from the volunteer in terms of time and
place:
Time: 2-3 hrs on week ends
Place: Samarthya office in West Delhi
For access audits- any place selected for survey.
