HOW CAN YOU HELP MESH
The areas of work, type of services that MESH would require from
the volunteer?
From time to time we need volunteers for specific tasks..in the
past those tasks have been:
- design and set up a web site, and web catalogue
- help with a domestic marketing strategy
- help with translation when we were testing the interest in
women's development matters in the leprosy colonies where we work.
- accounting to determine whether or not we should expand with a
shop in another city
Expectation from the volunteer in terms of time and
place?
If the task needing volunteer support was to be done on the
computer then it could be done anywhere. Other tasks need at least
an initial interface in MESH to know what we are doing and why and
with what infrastructure, they can then be completed or continued
from wherever is most convenient for all.
MESH requires a committment to complete a task as per the
brief. Rarely are our needs urgent so once the brief has been
explained and the volunteer has agreed to take on the task then a
time frame can be worked out.
