Heading Bajaj Group of Companies, he is Chairman of the group’s flagship, Bajaj Auto Limited, India’s premier 2 and 3 wheeler company. Mr Bajaj was the president of CII (78-80/99-00). He was awarded the “Padma Bhushan” by the President of India in March 2001. He was elected to the Upper House of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Maharashtra in June 2006.
